The award-winning Goldmund Quartet is known for its “exquisite playing and such multi-layered homogeneity” (Süddeutsche Zeitung) in its interpretation of the great classical and modern works. Formed as high school friends in Munich, the Goldmund Quartet has garnered many honors and has been awarded a family of “Paganini Quartet” Stradivari by the Nippon Foundation in Japan. Performing Borodin’s lyrical quartet in D Major and Beethoven’s visionary quartet, Op.59, No.1 from his “Razumovsky Quartets,” we are eager to welcome the Goldmund Quartet for their debut at String Theory.
