Returning to the String Theory stage is one of classical music’s most brilliant musicians, clarinetist Anthony McGill. McGill is not only a dynamic international solo and chamber musician but he is also an Avery Fisher prize winner (2020) and is principal clarinet of the New York Philharmonic. He will be joined by the charismatic mezzo-soprano, Fleur Barron, making her String Theory debut. Hailed as “a knockout performer” by The Times, Singaporean-British mezzo Fleur Barron was awarded the 2022 Schubert Prize. Together with Gloria Chien, they will present a concert with one of our most unique pairings to date, as these three illuminating musical minds join forces for a repertoire specially arranged for this combination of mezzo-soprano, clarinet and piano.
